Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Blaze.
Jay, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
In high school, I started washing cars and using the money to pay for studio time. I would ride the bus across the city and record at some run down backhouse studio a manager of mine had found. I was curious about every detail of the business. From how you write & produce a song, to how you make a music video and get it played on TV & Radio. That curiosity led me to start my own label Global Sound Music Group, LLC while still in high school.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
At first, everyone laughed at me. I had so many haters, no one believed I would make any progress not even some people in my family. I ignored them kept going anyways, after a few years I landed on the radio in LA a few times and did some local shows and started to gain more and more support.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Global Sound Music Group – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Global Sound Music Group, LLC is a full-service record label that handles recording, publishing, branding & marketing, touring and so much more. We have a lot of connections in the music business and beyond and we specialize in music & art that can be marketed GLOBALLY.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We currently have a ton of brand partnerships for our artist and have recently started to expand. We have just signed a new producer named Adriane who is a talented multi-genre producer like Pharell. We also just signed a Filipino American singer/ songwriter Zaku and we plan to tour and release music with him later this year.
